Learn how to download maps for offline use when your device is not connected to the internet or cell reception.
- Tap Map.
- Tap (map icon) Map Layers.
- Choose (Icon?) Base Map or (Icon?) Mosaic.
- Tap Manage Offline Map.
- Tap the square(s) you want to download
- To be downloaded ()
- Previously downloaded ()
- To be deleted ()
- When you have made your selection, tap Update Offline Map.
- The tiles will start downloading. When it reaches (custom icon with 100%) it means the download is complete.
- tap to exit.
The download speed depends on your internet connection. For best results, download 1-3 tiles at a time and leave the app open. The download can still happen when SIKU is running in the background but it will be slower.
To delete a previously downloaded tile, tap the green tile (it will turn red) and then tap Update Offline Map.
